WEBSTER CITY, Iowa
– February 07, 2007 – Beam, the global central vacuum system leader, is meeting rising demand by custom builders for quiet, powerful, built-in cleaning performance and improved indoor air quality with the new Serenity® QS™ Power Unit and its companion Beam Q™ electric power brush, hose and cleaning tools.

The facts about the stunning metallic alloy Beam Serenity QS power unit tell the story about why it is the new standard for central vacuums and a must-have in “move-up” and custom homes:

  • More cleaning power. The Serenity QS is the most powerful single-motor central vacuum system. It produces up to 640 air watts – 10- to 25 percent more cleaning power than competitive systems. That means more dust, dirt and allergens are removed from the home.
  • Quiet operation. The Serenity QS motor operates quieter than competitive systems. A unique mounting and bumper system, patented Quiet Pak™ insulation package and a Sound Off™ muffler reduce motor noise and system vibration.
  • Improved indoor air quality. The Beam On-Guard™ dirt collection receptacle contains AlphaSan®, a silver ion anti-microbial agent infused into the resin. It provides permanent protection against formation and growth of mold, enhancing Beam’s clinically proven ability to relieve allergies.

Joining the Serenity QS Power Unit is the Beam Q Power Team™, which includes the central vacuum system’s hose, electric power brush and attachments.

The Q is the quietest electric power brush on the market. With three levels of height adjustment the Beam Q also assures the highest level of carpet cleaning effectiveness. Convenient on-board tools and a QuickRelease™ wand system make the Beam Q not only the quietest, but also the easiest to use central vacuum power team available.

Larry Hartley, vice president of marketing for Beam, says the integrated system will speed the inclusion of central vacuums as standard features in new homes. A recent National Association of Homebuilders study found that nearly one-third of new luxury homes and 15 percent of “move-up” homes were equipped with central vacuum systems or were primed for them.

“This integrated system delivers superior, quiet, powerful cleaning and a healthier living environment that fresh-thinking builders want and buyers expect in a new home,” says Hartley.
