WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – January 15, 2003 – Beam Industries announces its Serenity→ Plus Central Vacuum System, a completely redesigned central vacuum system that enhances Beam's clinically proven ability to relieve allergy symptoms.
“The Beam Serenity Plus represents a new generation central vacuum system. Every component of the system has been designed to contribute to healthier indoor air quality,” says John Coghlan, president of Beam Industries.
With its new Air Watts Series motor, designed specifically for central vacuum system application, the Beam Serenity Plus delivers maximum cleaning power.
Also, exclusive to Beam Central Vacuum Systems is the CleanStream∀ Filtration System developed by Gore-Tex fabric maker W.L. Gore Co., in collaboration with Beam's research and development unit. The self-cleaning CleanStream Filtration system assures maximum air flow throughout the cleaning process. It traps dust on a thin surface membrane then sheds it into the collection receptacle when the unit is turned off. The CleanStream filter so completely repels collected dust that it “works like new every time” and never needs replacing.
Beam's Secure Seal System adds still another indoor air quality enhancement. The homeowner-friendly, twist-lock collection receptacle assures the tightest possible seal between the motor and collection receptacle, assuring that dust, dirt and allergens are not reintroduced into the living environment.
“The Serenity Plus represents a major step forward in cleaning performance and it builds upon the indoor air quality benefits of a Beam Central Vacuum System. Beam remains the only central vacuum system that has been clinically proven to relieve all seven major symptoms of allergic rhinitis,” Coghlan adds, citing the findings of a recent clinical study by the University of California, Davis School of Medicine.
“The added cleaning power of the Serenity Plus means that it can capture even more dust, dirt and allergens. And it extends indoor air quality protection to the area near the power unit. In many cases this will offer homeowners more flexibility to install the unit in a closet or utility room, in addition to a basement or garage,” Coghlan says.
Beam also has introduced a new Serenity Plus Power Team∀ which includes the central vacuum system's hose, power brush and attachments. With its ergonomically designed full swivel handle, the Serenity Plus Power Team increases the ease and speed of floor-to ceiling cleaning.
Like its Beam Serenity Series predecessor, which has been rated as the “highest quality” central vacuum system by Builder magazine four years in a row and was named one of the best building products of 2002 by Architectural Record, the Serenity Plus includes Beam's patented Quiet Pak∀ insulation package and Sound Off∀ muffler. The features make Beam Central Vacuum Systems quieter than any other central vacuum and most portable vacuums on the market.
Headquartered in Webster City, Iowa, Beam Industries is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of central vacuum systems. Beam products are sold in more than 45 countries around the world.
