WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – September 9. 2005 -- Installing a central vacuum system has never been easier, thanks to the new Beam Prism™ Wireless Control System.

Simply pressing the switch on the Beam Advocate™ central vacuum system hose handle emits a radio signal that activates the power unit in the garage, basement or utility room. The radio control eliminates the need to run wiring between the power unit and wall inlets.

“This wireless control technology is exclusive to Beam and will make installation faster and more trouble-free than ever before,” says John Coghlan, president of Beam Industries. “For dealers, the Beam Prism Wireless Control System offers increased productivity from installation crews and, ultimately, a better bottom line.”

The complete control system and Beam Advocate Power Team that includes the central vacuum system hose, electric power brush and cleaning attachments, carries a suggested retail price of $589.95, only $150 more than the power team alone.

Headquartered in Webster City, Iowa, Beam Industries is a division of Electrolux Home Care Products, Ltd., and is the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of central vacuum systems. Beam products are sold in more than 50 countries around the world. For more information, visit www.beamvac.com.
