WEBSTER CITY, Iowa – March 1, 2005 – Cleaning the fireplace, garage or delicate collectables can now be easier and more thorough than ever before with new cleaning tools developed for Beam Central Vacuum Systems. The Beam DeCinderô is a first-of-its-kind fireplace cleaning system that prevents ash or dust from being blown into the living area. The unit conveniently attaches to the central vacuum system hose handle. The DeCinder is activated by the central vacuum power, trapping 100 percent of collected ash and dirt in its unique separator. The permanent, washable HEPA filter assures like-new performance with every cleaning. Once finished cleaning a fireplace, the user simply disconnects the DeCinder from the central vacuum system and empties the contents of the separator into a trash can outside the home. The new Beam Dust Driverô allows the homeowner to eliminate the cloud of dust associated with sweeping a garage, basement or utility room. The Dust Driver features a lightweight, durable hose that allows fast, easy wall-to-wall cleaning from a single wall inlet or the utility inlet on the Beam Central Vacuum System power unit. The Dust Driverís tough 22-inch-wide brush and hose give the user more dust control than ever before by removing 100 percent of contacted dirt in a fraction of the time it would take to clean the garage, basement or workshop with a broom. Also new for Beam Central Vacuum Systems is the SpinDusterô, a feather-like cleaning tool that can be plugged into a central vacuum system wall inlet. The central vacuum systemís air flow causes the tool to spin rapidly creating an electrostatic charge that enables the tool to literally pull dust from electronic components, collectables and other hard-to-clean surfaces. Placing the tool back into the inlet immediately removes all collected dust and charges the SpinDuster for its next cleaning. John Coghlan, president of Beam Industries, says the new products were the result of extensive research to ensure they meet cleaning needs of Beam customers and contribute to improving indoor air quality. ìWe listened carefully to our customers to learn how we could make their most difficult cleaning tasks easy and remove more dust, dirt and allergens from hard-to-clean surfaces,î says Coghlan. ìA Beam Central Vacuum System now provides unmatched versatility in addition to clinically proven allergy relief.î Headquartered in Webster City, Iowa, Beam Industries is a division of Electrolux Home Care Products, Ltd., and is the worldís leading manufacturer and marketer of central vacuum systems. Beam products are sold in more than 50 countries around the world. For more information, visit www.beamvac.com.
